Information:

More than 82 million passengers moved through Denver International Airport in 2025. Its busiest year on record, and enough to keep DEN among the ten busiest airports in the world. It's also Colorado's largest economic engine, contributing roughly $47.2 billion to the region each year. For the design and construction community, that growth translates into sustained, complex, high-visibility work that shows no sign of slowing down.

Join CSI Denver as our own Mike Young, FCSI, CDT, CCS, CCCA presents where DEN is headed and how it plans to get there. Mike will walk through the airport's growth trajectory and the range of projects that come with it from major capital improvements to smaller retail and concessions build-outs, and the steady stream of work in between that keeps one of the world's busiest airports operating while it expands. Mike is Project Manager II at DEN Specialty Projects, where he brings insight to DEN. With numerous years in the industry, he brings firsthand experience in aviation projects, phased construction in occupied facilities, concessions work at DEN. His perspective offers a rare look at how one of the region's largest owners plans, prioritizes, and delivers its work.

For architects, the presentation offers insight into the types of projects on the horizon and what DEN looks for in its design partners. For general contractors, it's a look at the upcoming pipeline, the realities of building in an active, secure environment, and what it takes to deliver successfully for an owner of this scale. For everyone, it's a chance to connect with peers and gain a clearer picture of one of the most significant sources of work in the region.
